Start on your back in open guard with the person on top controlling your knees. Personal bottom pushes on one hip and kicks the one leg out to break the grip, then pulling on the sleeve. Same on the other side.
Dela Riva
- Grab the pants so your partner can't turn and kick out, or try and back step and sit down
- Grab the heel so the person cannot get their knee outside your thigh...
- grab the Cross grip, grab the heel and move into dela riva, hooking the close leg and pushing on the far leg. Switch into the tripod sweep, hook the leg and dump
- Control the same side / far sleeve, sit up into knee hug and pass it under the leg. Grab the lapel push on a leg and dump
+ Person should always be blocking over their head. If they block under, they are giving you an arm bar, either under the armpit or over the shoulder
- switch to single leg and stand up controlling one sleeve so your opponent cannot attack you, pull them towards you and dump backwards. Can also step inside and trip forwards.
- Single into double leg

Backwards - if your partner is standing straight up
